Before getting started
Here, you’ll find the various steps required to add a training course to your catalog.
You can only add training courses if you have the “Administer Poplee Training” permission.
Creating a training course
You have two options available for creating a training course:
- Importing from an Excel file, if you have a lot of training courses to create in one go. Refer to the dedicated help page for mass imports.
- Manual adding, one training course at a time.
For the second option (manual adding), go into the “Administration” tab, then “Training courses.” Click on “Adding a training course” and fill in the “Title” and “Type” fields for the training course.
If it’s an Internal training course, you’ll need to enter the in-house trainer(s).
Completing the training course data
You’ll then need to complete several fields to provide more information on the training course. The information marked with a red asterisk is required in order to move on to the next step (Publishing in the catalog).
For the training course’s “Description” field, you can use the formatting options to make it easier for employees to read in the catalog:

Select a draft training course and click on “Publish training course” at the bottom in the banner.
You can also publish several training courses at the same time: select the training courses that you want to publish in your catalog and click on “Publish training courses.”

1. What is the “Visibility in the catalog” attribute?
This setting lets you limit visibility for a published training course.
If you select the “In the private catalog” option, the published training course will never be visible in the “Catalog” tab. However, as an administrator, you’ll be able to schedule sessions for these training courses in your plan.
2. Can you delete a training course?
If your training course is still in “draft” status, you can permanently delete it.
If your training course has been published, you can archive it. It will no longer be seen in the catalog and instead will only be seen in the “Administration” > “Training courses” tab, with the status “Archived.”
3. How are training courses sorted in the Catalog tab?
Once published, training courses are displayed in the catalog according to their order of creation.
