Setting up the Payroll Assistant: generating employee data exports

Lucca Payroll Assistant lets you automate the collection of employee data from a Core HR export. It is then possible to generate and store employee data export files, so that they can then be made available to the payroll manager.

Setting up exports in Core HR

Before setting up Lucca Payroll Assistant, you need to create the file that will be generated each month.

The export file in Core HR lets you collect all employee data created or edited since the last export.

The following help sheet explains the steps to configure it: HR data exports: Setting up correspondence tables for employee data values to be exported.

Link the Core HR export to Lucca Payroll Assistant

For each payroll file, you now need to select the Core HR export that will be generated via the Payroll Assistant and sent to the payroll manager.

  1. Select a payroll file and go to its settings via the cogwheel icon.
  2. Go into the "Data and export methods" tab > Employees.
  3. Select the option "Automate the collection of employee data from an export of the HR file".
  4. The drop-down "export" menu appears and you can then select the Core HR export created in the previous step, which is suitable for your payroll file. There's a link that provides quick access to the Core HR export tab if you need to edit its configuration.
  5. Save. Your settings are all sorted!

What about for a new export?

If the export selected in Lucca Payroll Assistant is a new Core HR export, you can set an initialization date by going into the "Employee" tab in Lucca Payroll Assistant.
