Tracking payroll and workforce developments

Before getting started

The Lucca Compensation Dashboard is a tab generally intended for HR administrators.

Access to this interface requires the activation of the "View Dashboard" permission in role administration.

Users with this permission can view the total amount of each indicator for the establishment(s) associated with their role.

Indicators calculated in real time

The Lucca Compensation Dashboard provides a macro view of your organization's pay and workforce developments, based on 3 key indicators:

Clicking on the (?) icon at the top-right corner of the "card" explains what each indicator refers to.

  • Payroll: total of fixed and variable remuneration received by an establishment's employees. These are the gross components of pay, i.e., before social security charge calculations.

This indicator is available with a monthly or annual view for the current period (forecasting) and the two previous periods, and displays the calculation of the variation between the last two completed periods.

  • Workforce: total workforce or full-time equivalent workforce (FTE).

The total workforce is available in monthly or annual view, and counts all employees with an active contract on a given date. Each employee is counted as one unit, regardless of their working hours:

– On the current date, for calculations made "today"

– On the end-of-month date for monthly calculations

– On December 31st for annual calculations

The FTE workforce is also available with a monthly or annual view. The FTE calculation is based on the work cycle assigned to each employee to weight the headcount. An employee working at 80% part-time will be counted as 0.8 in the headcount. FTE also takes into account the impact of arrivals/departures over the period, in which case we apply proration based on business days of attendance over the period to determine the FTE.

  • Average and median monthly pay:

The average monthly pay is calculated by dividing the monthly payroll (the sum of fixed and variable items for a given month) by the total workforce for the month in question.

The median monthly pay corresponds to the value of gross monthly pay (fixed + variable) which half of the employees in the population in question earn less than and the other half earn more than.

The annual view can be used to display the indicator calculated for the last completed month of the year N-1 and N-2.

Note: Lucca Compensation does not allow for the consolidation of pay values in multiple currencies. The establishment selector displays the associated currency symbol to specify the scope of calculation for indicators relating to pay.

A link lets you download the detailed list of values in an Excel file format.

The detailed view of individual pay included in the calculation for the indicator is filtered according to the permissions set for the "View individual situations" operation. You will not be able to view the details of individual situations beyond the scope defined by this permission.

For example, the configuration below allows you to view dashboard indicators for all companies, but access to the details of individual values will be restricted to the scope defined for the "View individual situations" permission. In this case, the download feature for details in Excel is not accessible.
