Tracking Payroll and Workforce Changes

Background information

The Pagga Compensation Dashboard is specifically for HR administrators.

Access to this interface requires the ‘View the Dashboard’ permission to be enabled in role management.

Users with this permission will see the total amount of each indicator for the legal entity(-ies) associated with their role.

Indicators calculated in real time

The Pagga Compensation Dashboard shows a macro view of the changes in your organisation’s remuneration and staffing using 3 key indicators:

Click on the (?) icon at the top right of the card to show a definition for each indicator.

  • Gross remuneration: total of all fixed and variable remuneration collected by all of a legal entity’s employees. These are gross remuneration components, so before social benefits charges are calculated.

This indicator is given in monthly or yearly view for the current period (forecasting) and the 2 previous periods. It shows the calculation of the variation between the 2 past periods.

  • Workforce: global workforce or the workforce in full-time equivalents (FTE).

The global workforce is given in either monthly or yearly view and tallies all employees with an active contract as of a given date. Each employee counts as one unit, whatever their working time:

- on the current date, for the ‘Today’ calculation

- at month’s end for the monthly calculation

- on 31 December for the yearly calculation

The FTE workforce is also given either monthly or yearly. Calculation of the FTE is based on the work cycle assigned to each employee to weight the workforce. An employee who works 80% part-time is counted as a workforce of 0.8. The FTE also takes into consideration the impacts of arrivals and departures during the period. In this case, we prorate the working days present during the period to determine the FTE.

  • Average and median monthly remuneration:

The average monthly remuneration is obtained by dividing the monthly gross remuneration (sum of fixed and variable items for a given month) by the global workforce for the month considered.

The median monthly remuneration is the value of the gross monthly remuneration (fixed + variable) such that half the employee population considered earns less and the other half earns more.

The annual view gives the indicator calculated over the last month for years X-1 and X-2.

Note: Pagga Compensation does not allow you to consolidate remuneration values in different currencies. The legal entity selector shows the associated currency symbol to specify the scope for calculating indicators linked to the remuneration.

There is a link for downloading the detailed list of values in the form of an Excel sheet.

To calculate the indicator, the detailed view of individual remunerations is filtered according to the permissions configured for ‘View individual remunerations’. You cannot view the details of individual remunerations beyond the scope defined by this permission.

In the sample configuration below, dashboard indicators are visible but access to the details of individual values is restricted to the scope defined in the ‘View individual remunerations’ permission. In this case, the feature for downloading the details to Excel is not available.
