Before getting started
Depending on the Timmi range solutions that you’re subscribed to, the Timmi mobile app gives you access to the Absences, Timesheet and Remote Working modules. This app allows employees and managers who aren’t in the office to complete the main actions that they usually perform via the solutions in the Timmi range. You no longer have to be in front of a computer to submit a leave request, enter timesheets or submit your work location.

Features of the Mobile App
The Absences module in the Timmi app lets you:
- Submit a leave request: with the option of changing the distribution of days across different leave accounts
- Cancel or request the cancelation of a leave
- Access the number of days available for the current date or at the end of a particular month
- View the calendar of absences, both future and past.
Make an absence request
A leave request
You can submit a leave request by selecting “Request a leave” (1)
Then, select a single day or an absence start date and end date in the calendar (2)
For example: to take leave from November 12 through 16, you first select November 12 before selecting November 16, and then press the “Select this period” button.
Timmi Absences identifies the optimal distribution based on when the leave accounts expire.
It’s possible to only take half-days by selecting “AM” or “PM”. (3)
To edit the distribution of days or the type of absence, select “Edit distribution or type”, then increase or decrease the counters and/or add an account. (4)
If necessary, add a supporting document or comment to your request. (5)
Once the request has been sent, its status changes to “Pending approval” and it appears on the schedule with a striped pattern.
Canceling or requesting the cancellation of a request
You can cancel a request or, if it has already been approved by a manager, request its cancelation. To do this, select the leave your want to cancel in the main page of the module (Leave Request) or in the Leave Calendar. (1)
For leave that has already been approved, you can request its cancellation by clicking on “Cancel the request”. Your manager will need to approve the absence cancelation to remove it from the calendar. (2)
As with the web version, users cannot partially cancel or edit a leave request that has already been submitted. They need to cancel the request and submit a new leave request.
Viewing the number of days available
The mobile app shows the number of days available for the employee as of the current date. By selecting “XX days available”, you can edit the estimate date (must be the end of a month). This number of days is calculated according to the month displayed. Timmi Absences calculates the balance available at the end of the selected month by taking into account any days of planned leave for the account after the current date.
Example: It’s September 15 and the employee is getting an estimate of the number of days available as of the end of November. This estimate will take into account the leave that they’ve already planned to take in October.
Viewing your team’s schedule (currently only available on iOS)
[Only available on iOS, coming soon for Android]
Now, you can quickly access your team’s schedule via your phone. This means that you can factor in leave already taken by your team members before submitting your own leave request;
You can also display your colleagues’ work locations in this schedule, if you have Timmi Office. So, for example, you can check who’s going to be in the office while you’re on your morning commute.
All leave is now shown in the same color: purple, so that remote working and work locations entered into Timmi Office can be clearly distinguished.
Showing requests to be approved (for managers)
Leave requests are approved in the Approval module. Depending on which solutions your organization has subscribed to, this module lets you approve leave requests, timesheets, and remote working days, all in the same place.
When you click on a leave request, you’ll see the details of the request and any other employees in the same department who’ll be absent over that period. Via this interface, you can approve or deny the request (specifying the reason for the refusal).
