Disqualifying an application

This help sheet guides you through the actions to carry out in order to disqualify an application. When disqualifying an applicant, you can give the reason for the disqualification and send an email to your applicant to tell them that the recruitment process has been ended.

Only administrators with the permission "Move an applicant toward the final step of the job" can carry out the actions described below.

Disqualifying an application for a profile

You have several options to disqualify an application:

From the job

From the advanced options for a profile card, select "Disqualify the application". You can also move the profile card you want to disqualify to the "Disqualify the application" area (this appears when you move the cards).

A window will open that lets you:

  • Select a generic reason (useful for statistics on reasons for disqualifications)
  • Add details about the reason for the disqualification The generic reason and the details are internal information and will not be visible to the applicant
  • Send a rejection email to the applicant to tell them that the recruitment process has ended. The email sent will be archived in the applicant's profile page
Please note: None of the actions described here are required to disqualify an application
  • To validate the disqualification, click on "Disqualify the application". The applicant will then be moved to the “Disqualified profiles” tab for the job concerned.

All applicants who have been disqualified or removed from the recruitment process appear in the "Disqualified profiles" tab. This view lets you easily identify applicants who have received a rejection email.
