Before getting started
This help sheet explains the "Visibility" section in the training course details and helps you to customize viewing permissions for a training course.
To find out how to create a training course, refer to this help page: Create and publish a training course.
Hiding a training course for all employees
If you don't want employees to be able to request a certain training course, simply check the option "Don't show the training course in the catalog", as shown below.
The training course will then be transferred to a "private" catalog that can only be accessed by administrators so that they can create sessions.
Limiting the visibility of training courses to certain establishments.
Limiting the visibility to certain establishmentswill depend on two settings:
- Whether the training course is associated with one or more establishments (in Poplee Training)
- Whether the scope of the role is set to cover one or multiple establishments (in Lucca roles management)
Below are three use scenarios that you can set up:
Scenario 1: As an employee, I should only be able to access training courses for my own establishment
You will often want to make a training course only available to employees in a specific establishment.
To do this, you first need to check the option "In the catalog for certain establishments" and then associate the training course with the establishment in question:
You should then limit visibility of this training course to this establishment only via the role administration.
You will need the "Role administration" permission to access role administration. If you don't have this permission, please contact your administrator.
Go to role administration. Select the role you want to limit visibility for. In the role details, go to the "Establishments" tab and select the option "User establishment".
Scenario 2: As a global administrator for Poplee Training, I need to be able to view all training courses.
Go to role administration.
Select the role or administrators concerned. In the role details, go to the "Establishments" tab and select the option "Affiliated establishment" > "All establishments".
Scenario 3: As a director, I need access to the training courses for several specific establishments
Go to role administration.
Select the role or users concerned. In the role details, go to the "Establishments" tab and select the option "Associated establishment", then select the establishments the user should have access to one by one.
