Registering an employee for a training session

Before getting started

You'll often come across one of the following scenarios: 

  • An employee (or their manager) has submitted a training request that you have accepted and you now want to register the employee for a session;
  • An employee needs to undertake training (they don't need to submit a request) and you want to register them directly for a session.

This help page explains how to register an employee for a session, depending on the context. This registration can be completed for multiple employees at once.

You can only manage registrations if you have the "Administer Poplee Training" permission.

Reminder

An employee can be registered for a training session if they meet the following conditions: 

  • The session has been opened (it is no longer in "draft session" status).
  • The start and end dates have been entered;
  • The number of places available has been entered and it is sufficient.

Case 1: Registration of an employee whose request has been accepted

When an employee or manager submits a training request, the first step is to accept it and add it to a plan. Once this is done, you can follow the steps below.

Scenario 2: Registration of an employee whose request has not yet been accepted

You can register an employee who has submitted a request for training that has not yet been accepted and added to a plan. This request can be found in the "Requests to be processed" table in the Registrations tab of a session.

Scenario 3: Registration of an employee who has not submitted a training request

There are some training courses for which employees do not submit individual requests: mandatory training, refresher courses, training as part of onboarding, etc. However, you can also register them directly in a training session without an initial request.

To do this, go to the session's Registrations tab and click on "Register an employee" (1).

To save time, you can register multiple employees for a session at the same time. To do this, simply click on the icon shown above, then select the employees concerned.
