Before you get started
As an administrator, you will manage training categories when creating and updating your catalog. For the employee, the categories are visible when you view the course details or search for a course in the catalog.
Understanding category choice
The categories in Poplee Training are not customizable.
After auditing around fifteen OPCO and training organization catalogs, we found that organizing into general categories made it easier for an employee to search the catalog.

How do I choose one of these categories for my own training courses?
Step 1: Start by identifying the macro-category: is it a specific business area? Or a general area?
Step 2: Next, select the sub-category: what skills does the training target in relation to particular professions/subjects?
To go further
However, if you have a specific topic for your training, you can use the course titles or the Summary field to indicate this. Employees will be able to search by keyword and find the training they want more quickly.
