Before getting started
The Offboarding module in Poplee lets you manage employee departures. Its task manager has been designed to ensure that all administrative, logistics, and knowledge handover actions will be completed over the relevant time period.
Correct management of Offboarding is a key factor in the quality of an employer brand, for departing employees, and especially for colleagues who are continuing with the company.
Setting up your Offboarding procedure
The task list can be customized in the Offboarding setup menu.
Feel free to add task templates to continuously improve your procedure.
The task template consists of the following elements:
- Task name;
- Target date, which corresponds to the task's due date;
- Owner, who is the person responsible for the task;
- An attachment, if relevant;
- Task description, which lets you add details and links to help users complete the task.
Initiating Offboarding
- Click on Prepare for the departure of an employee;
- Select the employee and enter the contract end date;
- Customize the list of tasks for this employee;
Task owners are notified when Offboarding has been initiated. Reminders will then automatically be sent each day if the due date is exceeded.
Once all of the tasks have been completed, you can close the Offboarding procedure:

I can't find my employee in the offboarding procedures to be started
There are two possible causes:
- An offboarding procedure has already been started for this employee. You can't launch multiple procedures for one employee.
- The employee left more than seven days ago. To work around this, you can temporarily edit the contract end date for the employee, then access the offboarding procedure to open the launch page, restore the official contract end date for the employee, and lastly click on "Prepare for the departure" on the page previously opened.
Here's a closer look at how offboarding works:
- You can only have one offboarding procedure per person. So, if offboarding has already been completed, you'll no longer see the person in question in the list.
- If an employee's offboarding has not been completed, it will appear in the module for one month after their departure. It will then be automatically closed.
- If you want to close an offboarding procedure yourself, you'll need to delete all tasks and then launch it before closing it.
