What information is displayed in the table of balances?

Before getting started

On the Request page, the table of balances displays the days accrued by account in real time as well as an estimate of the balance in the future.

Table detail

1. The Current balance column

It is calculated using the following two pieces of information:

  • the entitlements accrued on the account up to the current day
  • absence requests submitted and validated on the account, whose date is prior to today's date
The credit in Timmi Absences is generally made at the end of the month, and the days accrued in the current month are therefore not taken into account here.

2. Days taken column

It takes into account the days of the requests that are:

  • Validated, whose date is later than today's date
  • Pending validation (regardless of their dates)
Validated absence requests, whose date is before or equal to today's date, do not appear in the Days taken column because they are taken into account in the current balance.

3. Leave to be accrued column

It displays the entitlements that will be accrued between today's date and the end of the month selected in the "Estimated balance at end" column. This column is updated according to the month selected, with the leave to be accrued in the future.

Depending on the chosen estimate month, the future accounts will appear. You can therefore easily check if your N+1 comp day or paid leave accounts have been configured correctly.

4. Estimated closing balance column

This is an estimate of the balance at the end of the selected month, taking into account: the current balance, the leave to be accrued and the days taken between the current date and the end of the selected month.

By default, the "Estimated closing balance" column is the position at the end of the month in which the latest future leave days were taken.

Special cases

1. Marriage/civil partnership type accounts

Absences for conventional leave days (marriage/civil partnership, funeral, etc.) are generally capped.

The administrator is responsible for approving the supporting document for the absence via the "To do list" tab:

This type of account does not appear in the table of balances.

2. Unpaid leave type accounts

Absences for unpaid leave generally have "no balance tracking", which means that each day taken (-1) is automatically offset by a credit (+1), so that the balance is always zero. This type of account does not appear in the table of balances.

Display account history

To display the history of an account and understand the balance displayed in the "Current balance" column, simply click on the balance of the account for which you want to see more details. The debits (days taken) or credits (days accrued) are recorded for each account, which means that you can go back to this history in case of doubt.

Clicking on the name of the account in the table of balances displays all the transactions made on the account (leave credit/debit).

Frequently asked questions

1. One of the accounts has a positive current balance but the user cannot take days on it.

The account consumption end date has been reached. Timmi Absences therefore no longer allows leave to be taken.

  • These leave days are too old and you want to settle them: help page.
  • These leave days must be transferred to an existing account: help page.
  • You can authorize leave even after the end of the consumption period, by specifying "yes" in the account setting:

2. I want to view the balances for my entire department/company.

To do this, you can refer to our help page on this subject.

3. One of the accounts is in debit in the table of balances.

Review the history of account movements to find the absences in question. The account in question may be incorrectly configured or an administrator has imposed an absence on this account. This help page can also help you: How to explain a debit leave balance in Timmi Absences

4. In what order are the different accounts listed in the table?

The balances are displayed according to their consumption limit date. Consequently, Timmi Absences suggests consuming the days, that are approaching their due date, first. Accounts that do not have a consumption end date are displayed first (recovery example).

5. During an estimate in the future, the number of forecast leave days displayed by Timmi Absences is wrong

► It is possible that the Timmi Absences accrual profile was entered into the employee's HR file incorrectly. Check this information in their HR file.

6. I don't want the leave that is currently accruing to be displayed

You can disable the display of accounts being accrued in the balances table and in the distribution pop-up using a setting available in Preferences > Settings, in the Display section:

This setting is customizable by establishment, so it is valid for all the accounts of the same establishment.
